FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely, to an automated apparatus for deploying a vascular catheter. The apparatus comprises a tool for detecting blood vessels and a tool for inserting a catheter into a blood vessel such as an artery or a vein. The tool for inserting a catheter comprises a tool for motorised lateral movement of a subcutaneous cannula or needle, a tool for motorised insertion of a subcutaneous cannula or needle into an artery or a vein by means of longitudinal axial movement of said cannula or needle, a tool for motorised insertion of a catheter into an artery or a vein through or via said cannula or needle. The tool for motorised lateral movement moves the cannula or needle parallel to the surface of the patient along a guide or a cable in a casing or a frame. The lateral movement therein does not move the cannula or needle along its own axis or along the axis bringing said cannula or needle into contact with the patient. The apparatus is contained in a casing or a frame. The casing or frame is configured to be applied to the position. The position is therein selected from the frontal part of the human hip, the frontal part of the human pelvis, the frontal part of the human groin, the human wrist, the frontal part of the human arm, and/or the frontal part of the human neck.
EFFECT: provided is an automated apparatus for deploying a vascular catheter with a motorised tool for inserting a catheter into a vessel, increasing the safety and predictability of the procedures, the aorta and the remaining anatomical area of the patient are protected from unintentional damage caused by the open apparatus in any scenario of use, either with the correct intended use or with non-intended use.
