SUBSTANCE: invention relates generally to fluidised catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons. External catalyst cooling vessel for fluid catalytic cracking (FCC), comprising i) a substantially vertical cylindrical catalyst cooler vessel having a vessel wall, at least one catalyst inlet and a catalyst outlet, and at least one gas inlet and a gas outlet; ii) at least one heat-removing unit arranged in a catalyst cooler vessel, comprising a central feed tube, enclosed in a central heat-removing channel and arranged coaxially with it to form a flow area between the central supply tube and the central heat-removing channel, wherein the central supply tube and the central heat-removing channel pass through the upper part of the wall of the vessel, the central supply tube has a coolant inlet external to the vessel, which is not enclosed in the central heat removal channel, and the coolant outlet hole at the end of the central supply tube, which is located opposite the coolant inlet hole and is located near the lower chamber of the central heat-removing channel, and the central heat-removing channel has a vapor outlet external to the vessel and arranged below the coolant inlet; iii) wherein the heat-removing unit also comprises at least one external heat-removing tube in fluid communication with the central heat-removing channel in the lower region of the channel, located near the lower chamber and above the coolant outlet of the central supply tube, and in the upper area of the channel located at a distance from the lower chamber of the heat-removing unit and below the upper part of the wall of the vessel.
EFFECT: high efficiency of removing heat from heated regenerated catalyst particles in FCC processes.
