FIELD: gas and solid particles separators.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for a gas and solid particles separator, in which the cap is located across the upper end of the vortex blades in the direction of movement in the cyclone separator to protect the blades from erosion under the action of fast solid particles. The cap can extend radially at least over the entire extent of the swirler and radially across the upper end of all swirl vanes in the direction of travel. The cyclone separator contains: a cyclone body; a swirler located at the upstream end of the cyclone body; a gas outlet located centrally at the downstream end of the cyclone body; an outlet for solids located peripherally at the downstream end of the cyclone body; a cap extending radially across the upper end of the swirler in the direction of travel; a plurality of vortex blades wrapped around a sleeve located at the upper end of the cyclone body in the direction of travel, said cap extending radially across the upper end of all vortex blades in the direction of travel, and a protrusion attached to the sleeve and a cap for fixing the cap over the sleeve.

EFFECT: separator has improved erosion resistance and reduced maintenance requirements.
