FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the regeneration of a spent catalyst. A catalyst regenerator contains a chamber, a catalyst inlet, a distributor for gaseous combustion products in the chamber, an outlet for waste gas from the chamber, a catalyst cooler attached to the chamber for receiving and cooling a hot catalyst, and a gas removal pipe from the catalyst cooler, having an inlet end and an outlet end, and a channel or a vessel connected to the outlet end of the gas removal pipe. The channel or the vessel are outside from the specified regenerator. Coke from the spent catalyst I burnt by bringing into contact with oxygen to obtain a reduced catalyst and waste gas. In the second embodiment, the catalyst regenerator contains an upper chamber and a lower chamber, a catalyst inlet to the upper chamber, an air distributor, an outlet for waste gas from the chamber, a catalyst cooler attached to the upper chamber for receiving a hot catalyst from the upper chamber and cooling the hot catalyst. The catalyst cooler contains inserted pipes containing inner pipes with inlets above outlets.
EFFECT: efficiency of air use for fluidizing a hot catalyst in catalyst coolers for regenerators is increased.
