SYNCHRONIZATION OF TOMOGRAPHIC IMAGING WITH RESPIRATORY MOVEMENTS USING PULSE OXIMETERS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/113 A61B6/03 G01T1/161 A61B5/08 A61B5/1455

Abstract RU 2769818 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for detecting respiratory movements. Device comprises a positron emission tomography or single-photon emission computed tomography imaging device and an electronic processor. Processor is programmed so that it is possible to extract the first respiration data signal, extract the second respiration data signal, combining the first and second extracted respiration data signals to generate a respiration signal. First respiration data signal is a respiratory imaging signal from the patient's emission imaging data. Patient emission imaging data are collected using a positron emission tomography imaging device or single-photon emission computed tomography. Second respiration data signal is a respiratory rate signal from the photoplethysmograph signal from the patient. Respiration signal characterizes the patient's respiration. In another version, the device comprises a display device, a processor and a display. Imaging device is configured to obtain emission imaging data of at least a portion of the patient. Processor is programmed so that it is possible to extract the first respiration data signal, the second respiration data signal, determining the time delay of the second respiration data signal relative to the first respiration data signal, generating the respiration signal. First respiration data signal is a respiratory imaging signal from the emission imaging data. Respiration signal is generated in the form of a second respiration data signal shifted in time to correct a certain time delay. Display is configured to display the patient's breath signal.

EFFECT: providing a respiratory movement detector for synchronizing measured vital signs with respiratory movements to improve medical imaging and correction of image movement due to respiratory movements.
