SUBSTANCE: absorbing element (4), according to the present invention, includes: fiber accumulations (11) containing synthetic fibers (11F) and absorbing fibers (12F). Multiple fiber accumulations (11) are mixed with each other, or fiber accumulations (11) and absorbing fibers (12F) are mixed. Each of fiber accumulations (11) includes main part (110) formed by means of two opposite base surfaces (111) and that surface (112) of the main part that crosses two base surfaces (111). Synthetic fibers (11F) contain a hydrophilizing agent. In addition, absorbing product (1), according to the present invention, includes above-described absorbing element (4), according to the present invention.
