FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a cannula holder used when fixing a cannula used in ophthalmic operations on the eyeball. The cannula holder, in which the cannula and a needle for piercing the eyeball are fixed when fixing the cannula, is used in ophthalmic operations on the eyeball, while the cannula holder contains clamping sections that are formed on the front edge of the cannula holder and that clamp sides of the cannula in positions, in which clamping sections are in front of each other. The cannula contains a cap made of resin containing a slit, through which the needle for piercing passes to the back edge of the cannula. The needle for piercing has an elongated cross-section that matches the form of the slit in a position that provides the possibility of passing the needle for piercing through the slit. Clamping sections are provided in such positions that they apply clamping forces perpendicular in the direction of longer sides of the elongated cross-section of the needle for piercing, facing each other.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for reliable fixation of the cannula to the holder, easy removal of the cannula holder after fixing the cannula to the eyeball.
