FUEL-AIR MODULE OF THE FRONT-END DEVICE OF A LOW-EMISSION COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF A GAS TURBINE ENGINE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F23R3/14

Abstract RU 2770093 C1

FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of engine building, namely, to the air-fuel module of the front-end device of a low-emission combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine and can be used to prepare a fuel-air mixture and form a combustion stabilization zone by swirling the mixture flow before combustion. The air-fuel module of the front device of a low-emission combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine contains a housing, a system for preparing and supplying liquid fuel, including a receiver, coupled with the system for preparing and supplying liquid fuel and bounded by the corresponding walls, an internal annular air channel located along the axis of the fuel-air module, and an external an annular air channel with corresponding blade swirlers placed at the inlet of each of them, a common air channel, which is an inner and outer annular air channels combined at the outlet, a fuel atomization system made in the form of an annular channel communicated with the receiver, located coaxially above the inner annular air channel, fuel atomization means, and a screen with a sharp edge directed to the side combustion chambers. The outer annular air channel is located along the axis of the air-fuel module coaxially above the annular channel of the fuel atomization system, the inner wall limiting the inner annular air channel is made in the form of a fairing located in the center of the air-fuel module with a sharp edge directed towards the combustion chamber, and the outer wall limiting the outer annular air channel is the corresponding wall of the air-fuel module housing, the common air channel is made confusing, the screen is made in the form of inner and outer shells concentrically located along the axis of the air-fuel module, rigidly connected to each other with the formation of a gap between them, wherein the ratio of the radii of the shells is 0.5, and the sharp edge of the screen is located near the common air channel, the outer shell is the inner wall of the outer annular air channel and is rigidly connected with the module body by means of the corresponding bladed swirlers, the inner shell is the outer wall of the inner annular air channel and is rigidly connected with the help of the corresponding blade swirlers with the central fairing, the annular channel of the fuel atomization system is located in the gap between the shells and communicates with the receiver of the liquid fuel preparation and supply system using radial channels made in the bladed swirlers of the outer annular air channel, and the fuel atomization means are located at the outlet of the annular channel of the atomization system and are made in the form of uniformly holes located along the circumference, the axes of which are parallel to the axis of the air-fuel module or alternately directed towards the outer and inner air annular channels.

EFFECT: improving the reliability and efficiency of the module.
