FIELD: analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry; it can be used to determine the authenticity of oilfield chemicals. A method for determining the authenticity of oilfield chemicals includes comparing spectra of a test reagent determined for authenticity with the spectrum of a genuine reagent, using linear Raman spectra (RAMAN spectra) of vibrational and rotational transitions of molecules of substances that make up oilfield reagents after absorption of radiation from an excitation source and scattering of light quanta with a wavelength of more than 750 nm.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the result of determining authenticity, reduction in the study time.
