SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a capping tool for a beverages keg and to a keg containing such a tool. The capping tool comprises an inlet for supplying pressurised gas to the free space above the product in the beverage keg and a valve body forming at least part of the capping tool. The valve body has a body wall forming at least part of the valve body. The capping tool has a barrier separate from the inlet, made integrally with the body wall and configured to seal the capping tool so that the capping tool is capable of retaining the pressurised gas inside the keg in an unventilated configuration. The thickness of the barrier is made so that the barrier breaks under the impact of internal pressure from the inside of the keg so as to switch the capping tool to a ventilated configuration, wherein fluid communication is possible between the free space above the product in the keg and the area outside of the capping tool via the broken barrier.

EFFECT: creation of a tool suitable for capping beverage kegs.
