FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a closure for a beverage keg, comprising an inlet for supplying gas under pressure into the free space above the product in the beverage keg and a ventilation hole separated from the inlet. Vent hole is configured to provide fluid communication between the free space above the keg product and the area outside the closure. Closure is equipped with a barrier which is welded to the closure and is configured to seal the vent hole in such a way that the closure is able to retain gas under pressure inside the keg in a non-ventilated configuration. Barrier is configured to break and/or at least partially detach from the closure under the action of internal pressure from inside the keg, to convert the closure into a vented configuration in which the vent hole is no longer sealed by a barrier.
EFFECT: disclosed is a keg closure with an attached ventilation system.
