FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electric traction systems of vehicles. Electric power generation system for electric vehicle includes air intake device, turbine, secondary battery unit, first and second auxiliary electric motors, transmission. Turbine is driven by the air flow and generates the first stage of electric energy at the first energy level, which is accumulated in the secondary battery unit. First auxiliary electric motor is made with possibility of being actuated by means of electric connection to the secondary battery unit. Transmission connects the output shaft of the first auxiliary electric motor to the input shaft of the second auxiliary electric motor and is made with possibility to increase speed of rotation of second auxiliary electric motor, providing generation of the second stage of electric energy at the second energy level, which is higher than the first energy level, which can be supplied to the main battery and/or drive motor of the vehicle. Also disclosed is a method of generating electrical energy for an electric vehicle.
EFFECT: improved charging of vehicle battery.
