DEVICE FOR TRANSCRANIAL STIMULATION OF THE BRAIN BY PULSATING CURRENT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61N1/02 A61N1/20 A61N1/36

Abstract RU 2770272 C1

FIELD: medical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, namely devices for transcranial stimulation of the brain with a pulsating current. The device includes the main and performing parts. The body of the main part is made in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped with on/off buttons, an LED, and a micro-USB connector located on it. The main part is controlled by software from a computer via a Bluetooth interface. Inside the main part there is a power supply, the input of which is connected to the micro-USB connector, and the output is connected by means of supply wires to the input of the control chip, which is also connected to the on/off button. The housing of the performing part is made in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped with an LED located on it and a hole for connecting the power supply and the connector of the external connecting wires with two silicone electrodes at the ends to the microcontroller on the control chip located inside the housing and connected by means of supply wires to the battery. The microcontroller is connected to a potentiometer, which is located on the control chip. The main and performing parts interact with each other using radio modules installed on the control chips of both parts of the device.

EFFECT: non-invasive local change in the activity level of individual brain regions is provided by means of a compact device with the ability to track stimulation parameters, with the function of dynamic current estimation and using remote control via a computer interface.
