FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of translingual stimulation, a method of vestibular rehabilitation and a device for their implementation. Device comprises tongue electrode (1) and control unit (2) connected by flexible cable (3). Lingual electrode comprises a printed circuit board with an array of electrodes of a radial-sector structure, a microcontroller assembly and an accelerometer or gyroscope for recording acceleration and position in space of the lingual electrode. Contact pads of the tongue electrode are made in the form of arcs of different radius and length, the same width and length increasing from the centre to the edges. Central contact pad of the array of electrodes is made round. Control unit is made in the form of a disc with rounded edges of larger diameter and thickness than the tongue electrode. On the front surface of the control unit there is a recess for installation and retention by means of magnets of the tongue electrode. In the mode of translingual stimulation, a series of electric pulses is supplied, which are configured to move along the array of electrodes in a circle in at least one row so that one row moves clockwise, and the next row moves counterclockwise. Movement of pulses occurs in the entire sector from the centre to the edges. Sectors or sector can move clockwise or counterclockwise. In the mode of vestibular rehabilitation, the initial point of location of the lingual electrode is fixed in space. In the initial position, the stimulation point is located in the centre of the electrode array. Tongue surface is stimulated by electric pulses distributed in space according to the principle of displacement towards deviation of the tongue electrode from the initial point in space. When the head or body is tilted to one side, the stimulation point shifts to the appropriate side. Direction and degree of deviation of the device from the initial point is determined by analysing readings from the accelerometer/gyroscope by a microcontroller.

EFFECT: invention discloses a device for translingual neurostimulation and a method for independent translingual stimulation.
