FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology. A cardiac catheter for endocardial laser irradiation of arrhythmogenic substrates has been revealed. The cardiac catheter contains a catheter hose covering the flushing channel and optical fiber, and the distal tip of the catheter. The catheter tip contains: the main body surrounding the anterior passage for laser radiation emitted from the optical fiber and for the flushing liquid supplied through the flushing channel; a fiber holder passing inside from the main body for installing the optical fiber in the central position; and connecting channels dividing the fiber holder into segments in the circumferential direction and connecting the flushing channel with the anterior passage. Since the anterior passage narrows at least in its longitudinal part towards the distal end of the catheter tip, the flushing fluid can flow through this passage in a uniform and laminar flow, so that the blood does not enter the irradiation field and is kept at a distance from the optical fiber.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of equipment for endocardial laser irradiation.
