ABLATIVE CATHETER AND KIT WITH INSERT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B18/24

Abstract RU 2655533 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medical devices and procedures, in particular to a surgical device and its use for ablation of tissues associated with hard anatomical surfaces, such as joints. Kit for catheter ablation contains a trocar, a catheter, an auxiliary port, an insert and a laser fiber. Catheter contains a hollow rod. Hollow core of the catheter contains a proximal segment and a distal segment. Distal segment contains a distal tip, aligned with the hollow shaft of the catheter, to ensure the passage of the trocar within the hollow shaft of the catheter, and providing a tissue-engaging surface, including uneven surfaces that are triangular in shape, sticking out from the fabric, protruding from the surface that captures the fabric. Auxiliary port protrudes from the outer surface of the catheter and determines the hollow passage leading to the hollow core of the catheter. Insert comprises a hollow core and is adapted to be inserted into the hollow core of the catheter. Insert also contains an auxiliary port, protruding from the outer surface of the insert and defining a hollow passage leading into the hollow core of the insert. Laser fiber has a diameter smaller than the internal diameter of the hollow core of the insert, that allows the laser fiber pass through the hollow core of the insert.

EFFECT: technical problem solved by the invention is not only the ability to remain in the target zone without slipping due to the catheter teeth (which are optional), and, more importantly, to provide flexibility of use of the catheter, along with a three-line laser, an endoscope, a wash without insertion, but also with a simpler laser, washing and an endoscope without a tube.
