SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to electrophysiological (EF) catheters, in particular to EF catheters for ablation of cardiac tissue. Electrophysiological catheter has an elongated catheter body; a control handle proximal to the catheter body; and a tip electrode distal to the catheter body. Tip electrode has a shell and a supporting member, fastened by welding. Welding has at least one roller weld seam and at least one weld seam with the penetration of the base metal.
EFFECT: invention reduces the risk of tip separation during the procedure.
