FIELD: optical fiber production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coated optical fiber. The optical fiber is formed by a glass fiber (13), a primary resin layer (14) to cover the periphery of the glass fiber (13) and a secondary resin layer (15) to cover the periphery of the primary resin layer (14). The primary resin layer (14) has a pH that is greater than the pH of the secondary resin layer (15). The difference is from 1 to 3. The primary resin layer consists of a cured composition based on a urethane oligomer, which contains silane. The secondary resin layer contains a cured product of a resin composition including a urethane oligomer, a monomer, a photopolymerization initiator and an acidic substance in an amount from 0.10 to 10 wt.%.
EFFECT: reduction in transmission losses in an optical fiber and a reduction in the coefficient of dynamic fatigue.
