FIELD: building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to building materials intended for protection of engineering equipment and the environment from the effects of water-containing solutions. The technical result is achieved by using a composite waterproofing block made multilayer and including at least a layer of a hydrophilic substance. The composite block consists of alternating layers of hydrophilic and hydrophobic substances, pressed together into a monolithic structure so that the external layers are made of a hydrophilic substance, and each layer has a compressive strength of at least 2 MPa. The monolithic structure formed from the compressed layers has a filtration coefficient of no more than 10-12 m/s in the direction perpendicular to the layered structure.
EFFECT: increase in the waterproofing properties due to the increase in the mechanical strength, resistance to suffusion destruction, and associated increase in the service life of the composite waterproofing mat (block) on a geological time scale.
