FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a reaction mixture for the manufacture of polyurethane material, as well as to a method for the production of polyurethane-containing material characterized by reduced aldehyde release. The reaction mixture contains at least one compound that is reactive relatively to isocyanate, at least one aldehyde acceptor compound, which is a compound of the formula R1-NH-R2, in which R1 and R2 are independently selected from -SO2R4, -C(O)R5, a pyridyl derivative, -CH=CHR3 or -CN, where R3 is -SO2R4, -C(O)R5, a pyridyl derivative or -CN, R4 is OR9 or R10, R5 is H, OR9 or R10, where R9 or R10 are independently aliphatic hydrocarbon, aromatic hydrocarbon optionally substituted with a substituent selected from a hydroxy group, ether, halogen, carboxyl, isocyanate, nitro and/or amine, R1 and R2 can be attached to each other essentially to form a ring structure, namely R1 and R2, together with a group -NH-, form a 5-12-element ring structure and contain aromatic rings and/or heteroatoms.
EFFECT: resulting polyurethane materials, such as polyurethane foams, are characterized by a significantly reduced aldehyde release, while mechanical properties of the resulting foam, such as residual deformation during compression and aging characteristics in wet conditions, are not adversely affected.
