SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely, to animal husbandry, in particular, to a method for increasing the viability of newborn lambs against hypothermia. The method for increasing the viability of lambs against hypothermia includes shearing ewes 3 weeks before lambing, wherein the method provides a possibility of increasing the viability of the body against hypothermia in newborn lambs and reducing the number of lambs dying from hypothermia.
EFFECT: above method provides a possibility of increasing the viability of the body against hypothermia in newborn lambs and reducing the number of lambs dying from hypothermia.
