FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol generating device for heating an aerosol generating product, as well as to an aerosol generating system containing the specified device. The specified device contains: a case with a hole; a chamber located in the case and made with the possibility of accommodating at least part of the aerosol generating product through the hole in the case; an assembly heater located in the case and containing a heating element made with the possibility of heating at least part of the chamber; and a holding mechanism containing at least one holding element located on or near the case hole. At least one holding element contains a set of petals, each of which is made with the possibility of moving between: the first position, in which the aerosol generating product can be inserted into the chamber through the hole; and the second position, in which each petal is made with the possibility of reducing the size of the hole relatively to the size of the hole, when petals are in the first position.
EFFECT: improvement of the layout both to hold the product after it is inserted into the device, and to facilitate its removal from the device.
