SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heater assembly for an aerosol generating device. Heater assembly comprises an elongated heating chamber for heating the aerosol-forming substrate. Assembled heater additionally contains a heating element located around the heating chamber. Heating chamber has a first length, and the heating element has a second length. Length of the heating chamber is greater than the length of the heating element, as a result of which there is a near distance between the near end of the heating chamber and the near end of the heating element. Present invention also relates to an aerosol-generating device comprising a heater assembly, and to an aerosol-generating system comprising an aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-forming substrate.

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce heating of parts of the aerosol-generating article, which are different from the part in the form of a substrate, as well as to avoid condensation of considerable amounts of the aerosol in the near part in the form of a substrate.
