FIELD: railway track superstructure.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of the superstructure of the railway track, in particular to methods for docking the rails of the rail gauge. At the ends of the rails, ledges are made, the length of each of which is equal to half the width of the rail. The depth of the ledge is sufficient to overlap the sending and receiving rails at the minimum ambient temperature, provided that there is no contact of the ends of the rail at the maximum temperature. Adjacent joints of the left and right threads are displaced relative to each other by a distance not equal to the distance between the axles of the wheelsets.
EFFECT: internal stresses in the rails are excluded.
