SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway track superstructure, in particular, to methods of geometrical compensation of temperature displacements of rail track, as well as to devices for its implementation. Device for displacement compensation is installed on boundaries between end ribbon rails. Proposed device comprises switch rails, switch platform and rail inserts. Inserts are placed on the guides located across the path. If it is necessary to compensate for movements in the compensation device, the rail inserts are replaced.
EFFECT: longer length of welded track threads.
