SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of electrical steel with a grain-oriented structure used as a material for iron cores of transformers. The electrical steel sheet comprises a base steel sheet, an intermediate layer in contact with the base steel sheet, and an insulating coating in contact with the intermediate layer. The electrical steel sheet has a deformation region that extends in a direction intersecting the rolling direction on the surface of the base steel sheet, and when observing the surface section parallel to the rolling direction and the thickness direction of the base steel sheet, there is crystalline phosphorus oxide M2P4O13in the insulation coating in the deformation region, where M means at least one or both of the Fe and Cr elements.

EFFECT: electrical sheet has high adhesion of the insulating coating and low iron loss.
