SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical processing of structural materials and can be used in tool production and engineering technology. The damping prefabricated cutter contains a holder in which a cutting plate with a central cylindrical hole is placed, mounted on a base plate fixed to the holder with a fixing sleeve, a mechanism for resetting the cutting plate, including a pusher that interacts with the side surface of the cutting plate and is located in the adjusting and guiding sleeve , and a mechanism for fixing the cutting insert, including a leaf spring for interacting with the front surface of the cutting insert, fixed on the holder by means of a screw, a rod with an adjusting nut and a cylindrical pin for interacting with the hole of the cutting plate, installed with the possibility of axial movement in the holes made in the base plate and the holder, while the wedge section is made on the rod to interact with the inclined flat on the said cylindrical pin placed coaxially with the adjusting screw. The pusher is installed with the possibility of interacting with the insert between its end face and the holder, the cylindrical pin is located on the thrust bearing mounted above the mentioned adjusting screw, the rod is placed in the cylindrical sleeve with the possibility of interacting with the said adjusting nut. At the same time, the said insert and thrust bearing are installed in the holder with a compression prestress.

EFFECT: increase in the quality of processing and tool life is achieved by increasing the efficiency of damping vibrations that occur during the cutting process.
