FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: damping cutter comprises cutting plate with assembly of its attachment in holder, having recess made to form cylindrical surface of holder on length from its end to protruding part with cutting plate. Cylindrical end of the holder is placed in a closed elastic shell of vulcanised material made in the form of a cup with interconnected hollow walls and a bottom equipped with its external wall with a cylindrical nozzle. Cup with holder with gaps is installed in cylindrical metal container having two parallel flats arranged on diametrically opposite sides of outer surface. Besides, compressed air is pumped through nozzle in bottom and walls of barrel until filling of gaps between container and creation of required excess pressure for formation of single mechanical system holder-barrel with pumped compressed air-container with possibility to adjust rigidity of cutter. Second end of the holder is located in the closed cylindrical elastic cover from vulcanised material with interconnected hollow walls. Inner diameter of shell is equal to diameter of holder, and length is less than half of length of its cylindrical part. In external wall of shell cylindrical union is rigidly fixed. Compressed air is pumped through nozzle into walls of said cylindrical shell until filling of gaps between container and creation of required excess pressure for formation of single mechanical system holder-cylindrical shell with injected compressed air – container with possibility of variation by rigidity of the cutter with the condition that the rigidity of the said shell is less than the rigidity of the above barrel with the air pumped into them.
