FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to diagnostic radiology, and can be used in hepatology, gastroenterology, surgery, as a method for diagnosing and managing patients with hepatic diseases. The method includes conducting a multiparametric ultrasound examination (MPUS) in patients with suspected focal and/or diffuse hepatic diseases, allowing for detection of diffuse changes and/or focal neoplasms in the hepatic parenchyma, and by means of ultrasound shear wave elastography (UsSWE), allows for determining the degree of stiffness of the hepatic tissue, comparable to the degree of fibrosis. The patients are thus stratified by risk groups for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), using a threshold value of parenchymal stiffness of 7.5 kPa corresponding to the METAVIR degree of hepatic fibrosis FII.

EFFECT: method reduces the number of invasive diagnostic procedures, reduces the amount of procedures related with the radiation dose for the patients, and reduces the economic costs and terms of making the final diagnosis due to the developed effective algorithm for differential diagnosis and management of patients with hepatic diseases.
