FIELD: titanium chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry of titanium, in particular to the processing of quartz-leucoxene concentrates, and can be used to produce titanium dioxide. The method for processing quartz-leucoxene concentrate includes roasting at a temperature of 1350°C in the presence of an additive, followed by cooling and leaching with 55-80% sulfuric acid at a ratio of T:L 1:2-10 and a temperature of 160-170°C for 4-6 hours , while calcium compounds in the form of carbonate and/or oxide and/or hydroxide are used as additives, and the mass ratio of quartz-leucoxene concentrate and calcium-containing additive is 1:0.3-0.5.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the productivity of the process by increasing the degree of extraction and increasing the chemical activity of the resulting product.
