To detect the presence of ice crystals, optical radiation is emitted to the environment from an emission device, when it is moved relatively to the environment, at least part of this radiation is received, a signal of beam intensity comparison is calculated in a certain way, its noise level is calculated, compared to a threshold value, and a signal of detection of the presence of ice crystals is transmitted, when the threshold value is exceeded.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of detection of ice crystals in the environment.
