FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aluminum electrolyzers. A cathode set for an electrolyzer contains a cathode structure made with the possibility of installation along electrolyzer flooring, containing a support element with the first wall and the second wall opposite to it, and at least two cathode plates attached to the mentioned support element. The first cathode plate is attached to the first wall of the support element, and the second cathode plate is attached to the second wall of the support element. In this case, at least two cathode plates are made with the possibility of their at least partial immersion to a melted electrolyte bath. At the same time, the cathode structure has an inclined surface compared to a horizontal surface, made with the possibility of drainage of a metal product from the inclined surface to the carbon electrolyzer flooring. The electrolyzer is made with the possibility of obtaining metal on the surface of the cathode structure.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at the creation of an electrolyzer structure that allows for obtaining melted aluminum on the surface of the cathode structure in combination with its drainage by gravity to a collection zone.
