FIELD: electrical cables manufacturing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of manufacturing electrical cables with a metal sheath. The device comprises a press head with a replaceable sizing die installed in the adjusting ring of the die holder, a molten metal extruder connected to said press head, a device for feeding the cable core and a system for centering the metal sheath. A replaceable sizing die is installed in the adjusting ring for an interference fit. The adjusting ring is placed in the matrix holder with a radial clearance and with the possibility of radial displacement. Adjusting ring radial displacement drives have adjusting screws in contact with the ring surface, ultrasonic sensors for measuring the thickness of the deposited shell and a signal processing and control unit connected to the said sensors, the outputs of which are connected to the said radial displacement drives. At the same time, the signal processing and control unit is configured to generate signals to the said drives.

EFFECT: accurate centering of the calibrating matrix of the press head is ensured in the process of extrusion coating of the sheath on the cable.
