FIELD: electrical engineering; car industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and a method for controlling the emergency braking for a drive system. The system contains: a converter, an invertor, and a control device. The converter is functionally connected to an alternative current (hereinafter – AC) power source and a direct current (hereinafter – DC) bus. The converter contains the first set of switching devices in a selective communication with each phase of the AC power source and the DC bus. The invertor is functionally connected to an engine and the DC bus. The invertor contains the second set of switching devices in a selective communication with each phase of the engine and the DC bus. The control device is made with the possibility of issuing a command for lowering the brake by means of a passive delay circuit in a response to the onset of an emergency stop state for a load and reducing voltage on the DC bus by disconnecting at least one phase of the AC power source and/or using a dynamic braking resistor before the physical brake lowering. The load is set in motion by the engine. The control device is additionally made with the possibility of issuing a command to the invertor for switching to an off state in a response to the onset of an emergency stop state and applying a function of linear voltage reduction to the engine by controlling the state of the converter in a response to the onset of an emergency stop state.
EFFECT: creation of a system providing an improvement of emergency stop.
