FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: when the primary power source fails, the inverter input (80) is switched to an emergency power supply. Direction of light load is determined with the weight balance between cabin (54) and counterweight (53). Sequence signal is set for the multi-speed command to inverter (80). Value of the speed command is calculated for the direction of light load. Speed control system is managed. Method for controlling the movement of an elevator cabin and the movement control device of an elevator cabin are also provided.
EFFECT: movement of an elevator cabin in the direction of light load is achieved, during power failure, reduction in the power consumption of the UPS.
