FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for selective dimerization and etherification of isoolefins, to a method for the flexible production of dimers and ethers, and to a system for the flexible production of dimers and ethers. The method for selective dimerization and etherification of isoolefins includes the following stages: feeding a stream of mixed C4 compounds containing isoolefins and a stream of oxygenates into the first reactor with a fixed catalyst layer containing the first catalyst, obtaining the waste product of the first reactor containing isoolefin dimers, unreacted C4 compounds and unreacted oxygenates; feeding the waste product of the first reactor directly into the second reactor with a fixed catalyst layer containing the second catalyst, obtaining the waste product of the second reactor containing isoolefin dimers, unreacted C4 compounds and unreacted oxygenates; feeding the waste product of the second reactor into the catalytic distillation reactor system containing the third catalyst. At the same time, in the catalytic distillation reactor system, the following are simultaneously carried out: the reaction of unreacted C4 compounds in the presence of a third catalyst to obtain additional isoolefin dimers and/or ethers; and the separation of isoolefin dimers from unreacted oxygenates and unreacted C4 compounds, the production of a flow of cubic products containing isoolefin dimers, any produced isoolefin trimers and heavy oxygenates, and a flow of overhead products containing unreacted light oxygenates and C4 compounds; the supply of a flow of cubic product to the first fractionating column and the production of a second flow of overhead products containing oxygenates and a second flow of cubic products containing isoolefin dimers and any isoolefin trimers.
EFFECT: creation of improved systems and methods for dimerization and etherification of isoolefins.
