FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, in particular to a method for treating purulent-necrotic lesions of hooves in cattle. The method includes the removal of necrotic tissues, irrigation with disinfectants, drying the surface of the defect, applying ointment and applying a bandage. Moreover, after the removal of necrotic tissues, the cleaned area of the horn, which has retained its connection with the base of the skin, is gradually thinned towards the defect and after stopping the bleeding, abundant irrigation with iodoform ether is carried out, then irrigated with a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide, dried with a cotton-gauze swab, after which an ointment is applied consisting of resorcinol, copper sulfate, boric acid, potassium permanganate and filler containing lanolin and vaseline, and a gauze bandage is applied, followed by its change after 4-5 days. All components of the ointment are used in a certain ratio.
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to quickly heal and restore hoofs in cattle.
