FIELD: pipeline maintenance.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for non-destructive testing of main pipelines based on eddy current flaw detection. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that an in-line multichannel geometry tool contains at least one belt of spring-loaded measuring levers, into which eddy current sensor blocks are integrated, while each eddy current sensor block consists of an eddy current converter and interface electronics. The eddy current converter consists of five pairs of inductance coils: four pairs of coils of smaller diameter are designed to improve the resolution of the in-line inspection device and one pair of coils to increase the accuracy of measuring the distance between the pipeline wall and the measuring lever associated with defects and features of the pipeline.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of flaw detection.
