FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to the plastic deformation of steel, in particular brand EI-961Sh, in combination with heat treatment, and can be used to obtain blanks with improved physical and mechanical properties for the manufacture of products intended for operation at elevated temperatures up to 600°C in various industries, including aircraft and mechanical engineering. The method for processing workpieces made of ferritic-martensitic steel includes heat treatment, plastic deformation, hardening, while before plastic deformation, preliminary heat treatment is carried out by heating to a temperature of 1050°C, quenching in oil and high-temperature tempering at a temperature of 800°C, and after plastic deformation, heating the billet above the ferrite/austenite phase transition temperature by 10-20°C with holding for 30 min and oil quenching.
EFFECT: improving the structure and mechanical properties of the workpiece material being processed and using them in critical structures.
