SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to inhalers. Disclosed is an inhaler containing a spraying unit containing a piezoelectric element substrate with a first interdigital transducer (IDT) consisting of a pair of interconnected comb electrodes, wherein the spraying unit is configured to spray a liquid by a surface acoustic wave formed by applying a high-frequency voltage to the pair of interconnected comb electrodes; and a controller configured to track the resonant frequency of the pair of interconnected comb electrodes and apply voltage to the pair of interconnected comb electrodes at a frequency determined based on the tracked resonant frequency, wherein the controller is configured to, when tracking the resonant frequency, apply voltage to the pair of interconnected comb electrodes at a frequency selected from multiple different frequencies, and set the frequency of voltage applied to the pair of interconnected comb electrodes when the power reflected from the pair of interconnected comb electrodes is the lowest as the resonant frequency. Also disclosed is an inhaler with a second IDT.
