SUBSTANCE: aerosol generator (100) for an aerosol generating device comprises sprayer (102) on surface acoustic waves and supply element (104). Sprayer (102) on surface acoustic waves comprises substrate (106) containing active surface (110) defining at least one spraying section (116). Sprayer (102) on surface acoustic waves also includes at least one transducer (108) located on active surface (110) of substrate (106) for generation of surface acoustic waves on active surface (110) of substrate (106). Feeding element (104) is configured to supply a liquid substrate forming an aerosol to at least one spraying section (116) of sprayer (102) on surface acoustic waves. Feeding element (104) comprises channel (118) passing through substrate (106) between inlet opening (120) for receiving the supply of liquid substrate forming an aerosol, and outlet hole (124) located within at least one spraying portion (116) of active surface (110) of substrate (106). Channel has (118) at least one of cross-sectional area, which varies in direction from inlet hole (120) to outlet hole (124), and part, which passes in direction not perpendicular to active surface (110).
EFFECT: increased stability of generator operation due to control of liquid substrate supply and spraying rate.
