FIELD: material processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of high-duty ceramic products based on zirconium dioxide for the oil industry, medicine, mechanical engineering, such as dental implants or sliding bearings of oil pumps. The method involves forming the workpiece of a product from a mixture of ceramic powder with a polymer binder component by injection molding under pressure in an injection molding machine. In this case, the mixture is melted at a temperature of 170 to 200°C, after which the molten mass is injected under pressure and the mold is filled heated to a temperature of 125 to 145°C. Next, the polymer binder component is removed from the workpiece of the product in a catalytic furnace at a temperature of 110 to 120°C in a nitrogen environment using nitric acid, sintering of the workpiece of the product in an air environment in a high-temperature furnace at a temperature of 1500 to 1600°C, cooling of the workpiece of the product and its mechanical processing. Injection molding is carried out under pressure from 500 to 1000 MPa with an injection rate from 5 to 15 cm3/s and the holding time under pressure from 3 to 8 s.
EFFECT: manufacturing products with precise geometric dimensions, a high level of mechanical properties and a surface roughness of no more than 0.4 Ra.
