FIELD: chemical synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical synthesis of titanium-containing film-forming solutions. Coatings formed from a solution have photocatalytic properties and can be used as photosensitive, self-cleaning, filtering, and radiation-redistributing coatings. A method for producing a photocatalytic coating based on titanium dioxide is proposed, including the preparation of a film-forming solution with its subsequent application to the surface of products, drying, characterized in that the freshly prepared film-forming solution is kept for 6 hours at room temperature, after applying the layer to the substrate, drying is carried out at room temperature for 60 minutes under the influence of ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 380-395 nm at the following ratio of components in the film-forming solution (wt.%): distilled water (0.2-0.4), nitric acid (0.05-0.06 ), silver nitrate (0.001-0.005), tetraethoxysilane (0.3-0.5), tetrabutoxytitanium (0.1-0.3), butanol (the rest).
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to optimize the technological criteria for the preparation of film-forming solutions with an extended shelf life for the formation of thin films of titanium oxide modified with silicon and d-metal oxides, providing a high degree of reproducibility of the physicochemical properties of the material.
