FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space technology. The extendable boom device contains an extendable boom of sections inserted into one another, as well as a mechanism for extending and folding. The extension and folding mechanism is attached to the flange of the root section and is made in the form of a sequential block-and-tackle with a retractable drum and a system of cables and rollers placed at the ends of the sections, and a second drum with a retracting cable attached to the drum with one end and passing through the entire length of the boom, and the second end fixed to the top of the last retractable section by means of a cable tension compensator in the form of a spring damper, a mechanism for synchronizing the drums is also introduced into the mechanism for extending and folding the sections. The support is made in the form of a triangular pyramid, the slider is placed with the possibility of movement on the outer surface of the root section, the racks are connected to the support by means of axes and fixed in their rotation nodes relative to the corresponding axis, on the outer surface of each of the racks in the area of the rotation node there is a mechanism for converting rotational motion into translational. The screw-nut pairs are installed inside each rack, the angular position sensor relative to the vertical is mounted on the outer surface of the root section of the boom and is connected to the mechanisms for converting rotational motion into translational, and the elements of payload attachment are made on the flange of the last section.
EFFECT: dynamic operation of the extendable boom device in gravity conditions is achieved.
