SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communications. The user equipment includes a control unit that sets the operating mode of the user equipment to the idle mode, and a transmission unit that, as long as the time synchronization maintained by the control unit is valid, transmits information indicating the presence of the user equipment on each of the transmission resources at a predetermined frequency in the time direction, from a plurality of transmission resources pre-configured for data transmission in the idle mode and located in the time direction. At the same time, the transmitting unit stops transmitting information indicative of the presence of the user equipment in response to detecting that the time synchronization is invalid.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of releasing pre-configured upstream resources unused by the user equipment.
