FIELD: hard tissue repair compositions.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a group of inventions: a hard tissue repair composition and a hard tissue repair kit. This composition contains a monomer, a polymer powder and a polymerization initiator. The polymer powder contains a polymer powder having an aspect ratio of 1.10 or more. The cumulative ratio of powder particles with an aspect ratio of 1.00 to 1.10 in all powder particles contained in the composition is 75 cumulative % or less. The monomer is a (meth)acrylate based monomer. The polymerization initiator is an organic boron compound or an organic peroxide. The Hard Tissue Restoration Kit consists of three or more items. In the kit, each of the monomer, polymer powder, and polymerization initiator components contained in the hard tissue repair composition is separated and contained in the elements in combination of choice.
EFFECT: providing a hard tissue repair composition and hard tissue repair kit with excellent properties: adhesion to a substrate such as an artificial joint, etc., permeability to a substrate such as cancellous bone, etc., and reduction of eluted monomers.
