SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a dental curable composition that contains a polymerizable monomer (A), which is a (meth)acrylic compound, spherical particles (B) having an average diameter of primary particles in the range from 230 nm to 1000 nm, and which are particles of complex oxide based on oxide of an element of the titanium group and silicon dioxide, and a polymerization initiator (C), in which at least 90% of individual particles that make up spherical particles (B) are in the range of ±5% relatively to the average diameter of primary particles, and the polymerized monomer (A) and spherical particles (B) satisfy a requirement (X1), represented by the ratio nP<nF (1), where nP is a refractive index at 25°C of polymer obtained by polymerization of the polymerized monomer (A), and nF is a refractive index at 25°C of spherical particles (B). When a cured object with thickness of 1 mm is formed from the curable composition and examined using a differential colorimeter using colored light, then the color of the cured object measured on a black background has a colorimetric value Y (Yb) according to the Mansell colorimetric system, and the color of the cured object measured on a white background has a colorimetric value Y (Yw) according to the Mansell colorimetric system, and their ratio Yb/Yw is in the range from 0.2 to 0.5.

EFFECT: curable composition, according to the present invention, shows the development of color corresponding to shades of the color of natural teeth, which varies depending on individual differences or places of restoration, and therefore it is not necessary to prepare a set of curable compositions having different shades of color, which provides ease of use and flawless appearance.
