FIELD: forest management.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technique of forest taxation, which is carried out using data, obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The essence of the claimed solution is to take photographs using the UAV in order to form a data bank of images and their subsequent photogrammetric processing within the framework of creating a digital crown model (DCM). DCM is used to further determine the stock of stem wood separately for each tree species.
EFFECT: simplifying the technology for assessing timber resources while increasing the degree of accuracy of their determination, as well as increasing the area of the reserve determination site.
