FIELD: engine technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the control of internal combustion engines, and in particular to fuel supply control systems in a locomotive diesel engine designed to automatically maintain a given engine shaft rotation speed due to metered fuel supply. The result is achieved by the fact that the electronic fuel supply control system of the locomotive diesel engine contains a power supply unit, a power transistor switch unit, oil pressure and temperature sensors in the engine, as well as an electronic control unit of the system associated with them and with the automated control system of the locomotive with its devices located in its housing, namely with a microcontroller with software, as well as with power amplification, protection, interface and display devices, additionally, it is equipped with a rotation frequency converter and a phase mark of the drive shaft of a high-pressure fuel pump feeding the first cylinder of the engine and made with the possibility of synchronizing the operation of the system with the operation of the engine cylinders, with its gear wheel mounted on this shaft with many of similar marks and its sensor connected to the control unit and installed in the fuel pump housing with the possibility of coverage with its area of action of the gear wheel of the converter, moreover, the gear wheel of this converter is made with many similar marks and one distinguishable, positioned relative to the upper dead center of the piston in the first cylinder of the engine at the beginning of the working cycle of its piston pair in the fuel mixture compression phase; and the microcontroller of the control unit is made with the possibility of converting the output signal of the sensor of the rotation frequency converter and the phase mark of the drive shaft of the fuel pump of the engine into a rectangular signal with a constant amplitude and with the possibility, based on this conversion, of further calculating the rotation frequency of the drive shaft of the fuel pump and its angle of rotation to determine the moment and duration of fuel supply to each cylinder of the engine. At the same time, the transistor power switches of the system are made with the possibility of providing an additional locking signal of negative polarity to increase the speed of operation of the solenoid valve and ensure continuity of current flow in the inductors of the solenoid valves at the time of holding the anchors.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and performance of the electronic fuel supply control system of the diesel engine of the locomotive.
