SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for regulating the energy consumption of oil-producing well equipment. When implementing the method, the optimal threshold value of specific electricity consumption is determined after the well enters the steady-state operation mode based on the parameters of the downhole equipment. During the subsequent operation of the well, the current value of the specific electricity consumption is determined and compared with the optimal threshold value. If the value of the current specific energy consumption is greater than the value of the optimal threshold value with a deviation from 5 to 10% and the value of the current corresponds to the nominal value, then an increase in voltage and a corresponding decrease in the current of the electric supply of the submersible pump motor is produced. If the deviation of the value of the current specific energy consumption from the value of the optimal threshold value is from 10% or more, or if the deviation of the value of the current specific energy consumption from the value of the optimal threshold value is more than 5% and the value of the current does not correspond to the nominal value, then the operation mode of the submersible pump with a submersible electric motor is changed to a cyclic short-term operation mode that ensures the technological norm extraction of liquid. In other cases, the submersible electric motor of the pump continues to operate with the set values of the voltage and current of the electric supply.

EFFECT: reduced energy consumption of oil-producing downhole equipment without significantly reducing its reliability by taking into account when regulating both the wear of the well equipment during the production of downhole fluid and changes in the parameters of the well itself, and possible equipment inconsistency with the initial parameters of the well.
